Why this grade This listing scored 48/100, which is a D. It lost the most ground on pay transparency. See the breakdown
- Description depth 20 / 20 How much the posting actually says about the work, measured in characters of real text.
- Pay transparency 12 / 25 A published salary range, worth more than any other single factor because it is what a candidate cannot find out without applying.
- Freshness 8 / 15 How recently it was posted. Older postings are likelier to be filled or abandoned.
- Remote clarity 8 / 15 Whether "remote" means anywhere, or is quietly restricted to one country.
- Corroboration 5 / 10 Whether more than one source carries this listing.
- Role specificity 0 / 10 Whether the listing is tagged well enough to tell what the role actually is.
-5 Ghost-job penalty — Deducted for signals that this posting may not be a real, currently-open role — staleness, repeated relisting, or talent-pool language.
Every figure above is arithmetic over the posting itself — its salary field, its text, its age, its tags and how many sources carry it. How the grades work →

$80k – $167k
That is the middle half of what comparable roles paid on this board over the last 90 days — 224 listings that did publish a figure, median $117k. It is not this employer's offer, and we have no idea what they pay. It is only what the rest of the market advertised.

You will be the trusted expert our partners rely on to win in the market and grow their business alongside ours. We are looking for someone that understands the fluid power industry and can claim the value of our system-based solutions, while simultaneously developing strong relationships with key stakeholders at our channel partners.
The candidate will be based remotely out of their home office within the Central US: MO, KS, IA, NE, SD, ND. Relocation and visa sponsorship are not being offered for this position.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive profitable sales growth by identifying new opportunities and strengthening relationships with our distribution partners throughout your territory.
- Act as a trusted advisor to distributors and their customers, understanding their technical needs and delivering high-value fluid conveyance solutions.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans for your assigned accounts, ensuring we meet and exceed our ambitious growth targets.
- Lead impactful quarterly business reviews with key partners to align strategy, review performance, and plan for future success.
- Serve as the expert on your market, gathering and communicating key intelligence to keep Danfoss ahead of the curve.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, preferably within hydraulics, fluid power, or a related industrial field.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent experience demonstrating strong technical and commercial skills.
- Proven success in managing accounts and building relationships, ideally within a distribution channel sales model.
- Excellent communication skills and the technical aptitude to understand and sell complex system solutions.
- The ability to travel up to 50% across the territory
- Experience using a CRM system to manage your sales pipeline and market activity is a strong plus.
What You'll Get from Us
- We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
- You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
- We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
- You’ll receive benefits like 13th salary, annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.
