Role Description:
As our Local Comms Associate, you’ll be the ultimate storyteller, project maestro, and narrative champion across multiple cities in 19 states. Equal parts strategic planner, media whiz, and cross-functional connector, you’ll work hand-in-hand with local teams and external agencies to ensure our voice is clear, cohesive, and loudly celebrated in every market we touch.

In this role, you’ll:
• Drive local media relations, including triage and prioritize incoming communication requests to align with our narratives and manage local crises, mine for internal content opportunities to amplify across cities. And serve as local POC to maximize brand presence and support sales.
• Manage local PR agencies across 19 state footprint including day-to-day work to drive creative coverage supporting business goals, leverage and prioritize XFN work to create opportunities for local noise and develop and execute unique market media plans in coordination with local teamsCreate content, develop media materials including messaging, FAQs, blog posts, videos, and statements, iIdentify and distribute content to drive earned attention, edit external materials and coach employees as speakers, and find new content channels like local newsletters and expansion campaigns.
• Execute on priority projects and cross functional activities, including ownership of communications calendar and notification and work with XFN partners to support local efforts, creating tracking and analysis tools for external campaigns in local markets, and planning, coordinating, and supporting events for market launches and key activities.
At a minimum we’d like you to have:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of work experience in communications, journalism, media relations, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience prioritizing, planning, managing, and executing multiple communications/PR projects simultaneously meeting deadlines.
• 2 years of experience managing media relations (ex. PR writing writing)
It’s preferred if you have:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience managing media and social media relations calmly with good judgment in fast-paced environments
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, plan, manage, and execute multiple communications/PR projects simultaneously under short deadlines.
• Ability to manage media and social media relations calmly with good judgment in fast-paced environments.
• Proven success in building internal and external networks to drive coverage.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Experience using AI tools to drive productivity, creativity, and innovation.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $73,500 - $118,200 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
