The Role
We’re seeking a highly organized, proactive, and customer-focused Events Marketing Manager to lead StarRez’s North American in-person and virtual Housing Fair program for College Pads. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on managing multiple events at once and enjoys creating efficient, repeatable processes. You’ll oversee the College Pads Housing Fair program from strategic planning through execution, including scheduling, registrations, shipping and inventory, staffing coordination, event materials, budget tracking, and post-event reporting. Success in this role requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, strong communication, the ability to confidently manage multiple events and deadlines at once, and a passion for developing and executing strategies to increase student attendance at College Pads hosted housing fairs.
Role Specifics
- Location: Remote – United States
- Travel: Up to 30% domestic travel
- Compensation Structure: In addition to the base salary listed below, this role is eligible for bonus opportunities based on performance.
- Reports to: This role reports to the Director, Corporate Marketing
What You Will Own
Planning
- Own the annual planning of StarRez’s North American in-person and virtual Housing Fair program, establishing event calendars, timelines, priorities, and key milestones.
- Manage Housing Fair registrations and maintain accurate event details, deadlines, staffing requirements, and participation information.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Community Relations, Product Marketing, and other teams to align event participation with broader business and customer goals.
- Coordinate StarRez employee staffing and develop clear pre-event communications, schedules, logistics, and expectations.
- Manage Housing Fair budgets, forecast expenses, and track event costs against plan.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Housing Fair organizers, campus partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Operations & Execution
- Manage end-to-end logistics for in-person and virtual Housing Fairs, including registrations, signage, giveaways, event materials, shipping, tracking, inventory, and virtual event setup.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Housing Fair organizers and internal stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle.
- Ensure employees attending Housing Fairs are prepared with the information, materials, objectives, and resources needed for successful execution.
- Maintain accurate inventory and coordinate the timely shipment and return of event materials.
- Ensure StarRez delivers consistent, professional, and engaging brand experience across all Housing Fairs.
- Track event participation, attendance, costs, engagement, and other key performance metrics and provide post-event reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements that make the Housing Fair program more efficient, consistent, and scalable.
Strategic Growth
- Develop and execute strategies to increase student awareness, adoption, and attendance at StarRez Housing Fairs, with a focus on reaching and engaging the college student demographic.
- Partner with participating institutions and internal teams to identify new ways to promote Housing Fairs directly to students before and during events.
- Explore new marketing channels, promotional tactics, incentives, partnerships, and engagement strategies designed to increase student participation.
- Use attendance trends, engagement data, student feedback, and event performance to identify opportunities to improve the Housing Fair experience and drive year-over-year growth.
- Develop best practices and repeatable promotional strategies that participating institutions can use to increase awareness and attendance among their students.
- Evaluate new event formats, experiences, and technologies that can make Housing Fairs more accessible, relevant, and engaging for college students.
- Establish and track measurable goals for Housing Fair growth, including student registrations, attendance, engagement, and adoption across participating institutions.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in event planning, event marketing, field marketing, tradeshow coordination, or a related role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of events or projects simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating event logistics, including registrations, shipping, inventory, staffing, and event materials.
- Ability to think strategically to grow the attendance and engagement at fairs
- Strong project management, organization, and attention to detail.
- Experience managing event budgets, expenses, and vendors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams.
- Ability to travel domestically as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing university, campus, student-facing, housing, or community events.
- Experience with VFairs Platform or similar virtual event platform
- Experience developing processes that make high-volume event programs more efficient and scalable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to build positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
