Talent Manager

Mythic Talent United States

Human Resources Manager Full Time

Company Overview

Mythic Talent is a leading talent management company dedicated to representing the best and brightest in the entertainment industry. Our talent-first approach, coupled with our strong relationships with brand clients, sets us apart in the industry. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Talent Manager.

Role Overview

The Talent Manager owns and grows relationships with an assigned talent roster and actively recruits new creators to Mythic Talent. You're the primary advocate, strategist, and long-term partner for your talent, making sure they feel supported, valued, and aligned with both their own goals and Mythic's broader vision.

Success is measured by talent retention and new talent signings. The right person is relationship-driven, highly organized, proactive, and deeply invested in creators' long-term success.

Key responsibilities

Talent relationship ownership

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner and main point of contact for assigned talent — their trusted representative and advocate inside Mythic
  • Build long-term relationships grounded in trust and transparency, aligned with each creator's career goals
  • Keep regular, proactive communication going to understand talent goals, needs, concerns, and feedback
  • Advocate for talent internally so their needs are clearly communicated and addressed across teams
  • Handle sensitive conversations, escalations, performance concerns, and strategic planning directly with talent

Deal oversight

  • Work closely with Sales, Campaign Management, and Brand Partners to ensure talent activations are executed flawlessly
  • Bring talent priorities and feedback back to internal teams to improve processes and offerings

Talent development & growth

  • Support long-term career goals, including audience growth, brand positioning, and diversifying revenue streams
  • Spot and recommend growth opportunities: platform expansion, content strategy, collaborations, and audience engagement
  • Help talent explore and launch merch, product, or IP-based opportunities with internal teams and external partners
  • Help talent weigh opportunities strategically, balancing short-term monetization against long-term brand equity
  • Stay on top of industry trends, platform changes, and emerging opportunities

Talent retention

  • Maintain high retention across your roster and manage long-term value to both the talent and Mythic
  • Run retention strategies: regular check-ins, career planning, and value-add initiatives
  • Track satisfaction and engagement, and get ahead of churn risks before they escalate
  • Partner with leadership to keep improving the talent experience

Talent acquisition & roster growth

  • Source, evaluate, and sign new talent aligned with Mythic's brand, values, and strategic priorities
  • Evaluate prospects on growth trajectory, professionalism, brand safety, and long-term earning potential
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective talent
  • Own the end-to-end signing process: relationship building, pitching Mythic's value proposition, and onboarding
  • Lead onboarding so new talent gets a smooth, welcoming, well-structured start
  • Track the creator landscape, emerging talent, and competitive representation activity

Reporting & accountability

  • Keep visibility into talent health, deal flow, and coordinator performance across your roster
  • Give department leadership regular updates on talent performance, pipeline growth, and signings
  • Uphold Mythic's professional standards, confidentiality, exclusivity policies, and ethical guidelines

Additional duties may be assigned as needed to meet organizational needs.

Expectations

  • Professionalism: Maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability when working with talents and external partners.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and resourceful in responding to industry shifts, last-minute scheduling changes, or unexpected issues.
  • Communication: Provide clear, consistent, and timely communication to talents, teammates, and leadership.
  • Results Orientation: Meet or exceed performance targets, including revenue goals, client satisfaction, and talent retention.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Talent Management, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years of experience in talent management
    • Experience working with various tiers of talent or clients, including high-profile individuals

Skills

  • Strong project management, relationship-building, and communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in CRM or project management software, as well as standard office tools
  • Willingness to adapt to flexible schedules and quickly respond to real-time challenges

Physical Demands

  • Able to sit and/or stand for the duration of the workday
  • Able to use a keyboard, headset, and computer monitor for the workday

Must have access to a reliable computer and any other equipment necessary to perform the role. Mythic Talent does not provide equipment for this position, except where required by applicable law.
