The Opportunity
Superhuman is a pioneering edtech leader dedicated to transforming teaching and learning through innovative, AI-enabled solutions. Our platform empowers educators, drives personalized student outcomes, and streamlines administrative workflows across K–12 school districts and higher education institutions. We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Commercial Sales Manager to lead our sales initiatives, expand our market footprint, and bring next-generation AI tools to schools and universities everywhere.
As the Commercial Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across both K–12 and higher education sectors. You will lead the full sales cycle—from prospecting and high-level institutional pitching to closing enterprise contracts.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the edtech landscape, a track record of selling SaaS to educational institutions, and a passion for how artificial intelligence can safely and effectively revolutionize learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Coach Excellence Across Full-Cycle Sales: Own and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities across K–12 districts and higher education accounts, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Strategic Territory Planning: Execute the go-to-market strategy for your team, identifying high-potential districts and universities and setting priorities for your sales team.
Coach Team on Consultative Selling: Deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, and AI-solution pitches tailored to diverse educational stakeholders (e.g., Superintendents, Chief Technology Officers, Provosts, Deans, and Curriculum Directors).
Navigate Complex Procurement Cycles: Successfully guide your team through complex purchasing processes, RFPs (Requests for Proposals), board approvals, and legal and data privacy reviews that come up in strategic, commercial deals.
Advocate for AI in Education: Articulate the immense value, safety, and ethical compliance of our AI-enabled products, addressing district and university concerns around data privacy, security, and academic integrity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams to share market feedback, ensure seamless onboarding, and be the voice of our new-logo sales engine.
Accurate Forecasting: Maintain meticulous CRM hygiene (e.g., Salesforce) and provide reliable weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts to executive leadership.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of successful B2B enterprise or edtech sales experience, with a proven track record of selling software, SaaS, or digital curriculum into K–12 and/or higher education markets. 3+ years of leading teams in a high-growth SaaS environment. Edtech experience will be highly weighted.
Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with educational procurement structures, budgeting cycles (e.g., Title funds, ESSER transitions, institutional budgeting), and decision-making hierarchies in schools and universities.
AI Fluency: A strong grasp of generative AI or emerging edtech, with the ability to translate complex technical features into clear pedagogical and operational benefits.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills; comfortable engaging and negotiating with C-level executives and academic leaders.
Results-Oriented: A hunter mentality with a demonstrated history of coaching teams to quota attainment and closing multi-six-figure deals.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
