The Mission & The Work

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Quantum team.

You will design and scale the core intelligence services that power both real-time customer interactions and operational foresight. Our team’s core mission is bringing the frontier AI capabilities to our customers. Including, but not limited to, it involves connecting customer knowledge bases to an easy-to-use AI chat window, or allowing our customers to build banking automations with AI. Ultimately, your work will bridge advanced intelligence with human strategy, empowering human agents to leverage AI and work smarter.

Working in self-reliant product teams, you'll contribute to diverse projects throughout the entire development lifecycle. This role is perfect for those passionate about owning the entire solution and working throughout the stack - back-end, front-end, infrastructure, and more.

What We’re Looking for

We are looking for a high-autonomy, impact-driven Software Engineer who thrives on technical complexity and system-wide variety.

While our core needs involve Elixir, React, or Terraform, we value a strong technical foundation and problem-solving mindset over strict language loyalty. You should be prepared to work across different stacks. In this role, you’ll shift from executing basic tasks to owning features, joining technical discussions, and keeping our codebase high-quality.

We generally look for the following qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of professional software development experience , with a track record of shipping production-grade code. In exceptional cases, engineers with a track record of independent building and shipping of products are also considered.

  • System Design & Initiative: You comfortably take features from start to finish. You design, build, and maintain reliable, highly available systems, ensuring your code solves the actual problem and integrates cleanly into our architecture without adding unnecessary complexity.

  • Technical Foundation: Strong mastery of strictly-typed/compiled languages, design patterns, and containerized cloud infrastructure (AWS). Familiarity with event-driven architecture.

  • Engineering Excellence & Code Quality: You write clean, test-driven code (TDD, CI/CD) and proactively spot areas for improvement without waiting for tasks. You effectively leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate boilerplate and testing, while maintaining strict accountability for correctness.

  • Proactive Growth: A self-starter who independently identifies areas for improvement, actively seeks feedback, and constantly learns.

No problem if you miss a few of these qualifications! If you find it interesting to learn them, do still apply.

Our Tech Stack

  • Coding languages: Elixir, Ruby, Javascript (React)

  • Current Persistence Solutions: DynamoDB, AWS RDS for PostgreSQL, S3

  • Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform

  • Monitoring: DataDog

  • CI/CD: Jenkins

  • AI: Claude Code, Gemini

  • Other: AWS services, Kafka, GitHub

Note: We are constantly evolving our tech stack to ensure the usage of the right tools for specific needs, and you will be part of the process of choosing new technologies.

Our Collaboration Model

We are an Estonia-based team working across the EET timezone. While we embrace remote collaboration, we have offices in Tallinn and Tartu and we’d love to work with you in a hybrid capacity. We also gather the full team in Estonia twice a year to innovate and connect in person.
