About us
Mammutmarsch is adventure at heart - and pushing limits in practice. We’re the movement behind long-distance hiking events that inspire people to grow beyond themselves. Now we’re taking the next step: preparing our market entry in the UK - and we’re looking for a freelance Marketing Manager to help make it happen.
Your Impact
Together with our marketing team, you’ll launch Mammutmarsch in the UK - from local marketing ideas to first campaigns and partnerships. You’ll bring your market understanding, execute independently, and turn concepts into real resonance within the community.
How we work
Remote‑first, pragmatic, and hands‑on. We decide close to the goal, test fast, learn faster, and deliver bold ideas - with team spirit, creativity, clear communication, and ownership.
Your responsibilities
• Go-to-market UK: develop local marketing plans, roadmap, and launch initial activities
• Social media first: plan, create, and publish UK-adapted content; own the editorial calendar and posting cadence
• Community building: engage in dialogue, handle comments/DMs, uphold community guidelines, and systematically grow organic reach
• Campaign execution: run and continuously optimize social and influencer campaigns
• Content production: create short clips/UGC, snippets, visuals, and copy tailored to the UK
• Performance basics: track KPIs, deliver reports, and translate insights into action
• Secondary: research relevant partners/networks and initiate selectively when useful
What you bring
• Initial professional experience in marketing (e.g., social, influencer, PR, campaigns, community)
• Highly self‑driven, solutions‑oriented working style and a passion for building new structures
• Creativity and the courage to take new paths
• Excellent UK market understanding: culture, trends, media / platforms; sharp language instincts
• Language skills: English at native or near‑native level; additional languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel for occasional UK activities
• Enthusiasm for our mission and events
Our promise
• Direct collaboration with our core marketing team
• Plenty of creative freedom, responsibility, and fast impact
• Flexible, fully remote collaboration (freelance, 15–20 hrs/week)
• Fair compensation, clear goals, and short decision paths
• The chance to help build Mammutmarsch in the UK from day one
Your application
Sound like you? Apply with the button on this page and send us your CV / portfolio, your hourly rate and 2–3 short samples of your work (e.g., posts, campaigns, a mini case), plus a few lines on why the UK is your playground. We usually get back within four working days.
