The listing, marked up

Nothing in the wording of this listing tripped a check. The scores above still judge how complete and coherent it is.

We are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to join the Places Client team to build and elevate member-facing experiences across the Places iOS app. The Places Client team is responsible for all surface areas of the mobile app - from onboarding and payments to new initiatives and core features - ensuring our members enjoy a seamless, high-quality iOS experience.

This is a senior client engineering role with deep technical impact across our mobile application. The ideal candidate has built and operated high-scale consumer iOS applications end to end, showing strong ownership from architecture to production execution. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineering teams to deliver robust features, maintain software health, and drive technical excellence across the codebase.

We offer comprehensive medical and dental coverage, $50 a day food delivery budget, equity based employment, a great culture, learning opportunities, unlimited vacation, 12 weeks paid parental leave, and we pay all employees $1,000 a year to go somewhere in the world that they've never been because of our values of human connection, empathy, and curiosity.

Responsibilities

•
Build and own core member-facing features end to end.

•
Set architectural patterns and best practices, and solve hard client-side lifecycle and state management problems.

•
Partner with server engineering on API design, data correctness, and client-server state sync.

•
Work with product, design, and data science to scope, experiment with, and launch member-facing features. Sweat the details of interaction, motion, and performance.

•
Contribute across a large, long-lived iOS codebase: performance, testing practices, and deliberate management of tech debt.

•
Own production health for core flows: monitoring, crash triage, and release quality.

•
Raise the engineering bar through code review, mentorship, and clear written specs.

Requirements

•
7+ years of professional iOS development experience, with strong proficiency in Swift, UIKit, and MVVM.

•
Strong experience with RxSwift or similar reactive programming frameworks.

•
A track record of shipping consumer mobile apps to large audiences, with strong judgment on architecture, performance, and user experience.

•
Strong consumer product sense, a high bar for design quality, and the ability to partner with product, design, and data.

•
Proven ability to lead projects from concept through launch, balance speed and quality, and own what you ship after it ships.

•
You use AI coding tools in your daily work, help the team adopt them, and look for opportunities to improve the engineering harness.

Nice to Have

•
Experience with StoreKit 2, subscriptions, and paywall or pricing experiments, including subscription analytics.

•
Experience with Mapbox or complex map-based interfaces.

•
Familiarity with SwiftUI alongside UIKit, and with modularizing a large iOS codebase.

•
Experience with backend development, such as building the APIs and services that mobile clients depend on.

•
Experience with Redux-style state management patterns.
