Nothing in the wording of this listing tripped a check. The scores above still judge how complete and coherent it is.
Comms8 is looking for a hands-on Bookkeeper & Finance Admin to take ownership of our day-to-day bookkeeping and finance administration across our group.
This is a practical, detail-focused role for someone who is comfortable keeping financial records accurate and up to date, reconciling accounts, processing invoices and expenses, and preparing regular finance reports.
You will support four entities across two jurisdictions and work closely with our team and accountants in the UK and Hong Kong.
Importantly, our UK and Hong Kong accountants handle all statutory filings and audit requirements. You will provide accurate records and information to support them, but you will not be responsible for owning statutory compliance or audit.
The role will initially focus entirely on finance. Once the month-end process is running accurately and consistently, the role will gradually expand to include general administrative support.
What you'll be doing
Finance & Bookkeeping
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping across four group entities
• Complete regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare and issue client invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
• Process and record business expenses
• Prepare payroll data for UK employees and offshore contractors
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions between business entities
• Produce a standard monthly finance pack
• Prepare a weekly cash and aged-debtors report using an established template
• Maintain accurate and well-organised financial records
• Respond to queries and provide supporting information to our UK and Hong Kong accountants
• Support month-end processes and help ensure the books are complete, accurate and ready for accountant review
You will not be expected to handle statutory filings or audits as these will be managed by our UK and Hong Kong accountants, giving you the opportunity to focus on maintaining accurate books and running the day-to-day finance processes well.
Admin Support
Once you have established a reliable month-end routine, the role will expand to include:
• Contractor onboarding and offboarding paperwork
• Vendor, subscription and business-tool administration
• Document filing and record-keeping across the four entities
• General administrative support for the operations team
What we're looking for
• 2–5 years of experience in bookkeeping, finance administration or a similar hands-on finance role
• Solid experience with day-to-day bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
• Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and expenses
• Good understanding of month-end bookkeeping processes
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Organised and consistent in maintaining records and following established processes
• Confident communicating with colleagues and accountants
• Good written and spoken English
• Comfortable working across multiple entities and currencies
• Able to work the required hours with regular overlap with our UK and Hong Kong teams
Experience preparing payroll data, handling intercompany transactions or working with international/remote businesses would be an advantage.
Working arrangement
This is a full-time contractor engagement, not an employment position.
The role is fully remote and open to candidates based across Southeast Asia.
Because you will work closely with colleagues and accountants across the UK and Hong Kong, availability during the required working hours and sufficient overlap with both teams is a mandatory requirement for this role.
Compensation
USD 500–800 per month, depending on relevant experience and demonstrated bookkeeping capability.
What success looks like
In your first few months, the priority will be straightforward: accurate books, clean reconciliations and a dependable month-end process.
Once the finance routine is running smoothly, you will begin supporting selected administrative tasks across the business.
If you are a practical, organised bookkeeper who enjoys keeping financial records accurate and processes running consistently, we'd be pleased to hear from you.
